Work Avoidance is the primary outlet from screen prints made by Stanley Donwood's Slowly Downward Manufactory, a printing workshop which has been in existence since 2004, the year that a spacecraft from Earth landed on Mars, Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook at Harvard, Ukraine won the Eurovision Song Contest, Ronald Reagan died, and the Nintendo DS was launched.
An interesting year. Prints offered for sale on Work Avoidance are from various years and from various projects. The one thing they have in common is rarity. Our shiny new logo is composed of a chart representing the increase in the Earth's global temperature in 1850 and the words 'WORK AVOIDANCE' which basically sum up what humanity has been doing about global warming ever since we found out about it. Enjoy.
